Did slavery end and how can you find freedom from control?
The million-dollar question…
‘How can I find freedom?’ instead of asking ‘When did slavery end?’ If you allow money or the Government to control your freedom, you won’t truly be free. You must learn freedom with Jesus.
Some may ask, ‘if I accept Jesus, does that make me His slave?’
No, because God’s Holy Spirit gives you self-control.
Since self-control comes from the Holy Spirit, Everyone who doesn’t have self control is a slave without knowing it. To answer the question, when did slavery end? It happens off and on all the time and occurs where people fall susceptible.
In a natural and spiritual sense, most are slaves and are unaware. People don’t realize they’re in slavery with sin. Don’t believe me, watch someone try to stop sinning on their own, and you’ll see. If you don’t know who God created you to be, others will control certain parts of your life through jobs, bosses, government, and fear(s).
God wants to bring about true freedom by delivering you out of all control and manipulation and giving you self-control. Deliverance doesn’t happen immediately. It is a progressive journey of resistance to become freer because otherwise, you can’t handle it all at once.
What is true freedom?
True freedom is progressive deliverance found and grown in an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit. Freedom is the ability to move and take faithful action regardless of any resistance and relatively pain-free.
There are physical freedoms you can buy with money but there are also freedoms paid with blood.
Even though someone else may pay our bill, we must accept the payment and release and choose to be free. Many slaveries happen from our choice or our lack of will to be free. We get too comfortable not being free. Let go of any false comfort you currently know and cling to the Holy Spirit who is the comforter.
Salvation always has a price whether someone else pays the bill or we do.
Let me encourage you to go through a short time of discomfort in order to experience new levels of absolute comfort and freedom from the Holy Spirit.
In Business, managers are slaves to servicing customers, and employees are slaves to their managers. Operate in freedom and have a business that doesn’t control you because you don’t have to neglect or abandon your company, employees, and customers to attain it.
Create a system that builds, keeps, and services people the way you want it to happen without requiring as much manual input in the business servicing. No need to create something passive where you get lazy, and it provides, so you don’t work. God’s word says, ‘if you don’t work, you don’t eat. Focus most of your time on building on it, not in it so it can grow.
Desire and find joy in your work.
Follow His word. Choose your career instead of letting it choose you. You’re free to oversee and maintain your position as you live a life doing what matters most. Part of the curse humankind put on himself when we took part in consuming from the tree of knowledge of good and evil was that man would have to work with the sweat of his brow.
The world has to slave away to see any results from its labor because its still under this curse. Think of a low-level employee who works hard a ton of hours to try and make ends meet.
It doesn’t have to remain this way. Jesus died for our sins to redeem us of the curse because He so loved the world therefore, whoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life.
He redeems you from the curse of sin to work hard for any fruit, so begin to experience fruit much easier. This is not evil as many people would think who are under a poverty mentality. Why does God want you to have a surplus?
You can make a difference in the lives of others to help them end slavery.
Isn’t this an excellent approach? Jesus paid our debt of sin and its consequential required payment on the cross.
After we accept and receive this payment as a gift to us of forgiveness and salvation through Him, we are redeemed from the curse of sin and death and born back into our original intended spiritual nature.
Stop slaving away to the sweat of your brow. You can enjoy the work of your hands and the fruit of your land. Freedom from all control is paramount when structuring a business and building it.
Resisting temptation and finding deliverance come by speaking God’s word out loud.
Think of the time when Jesus was in the desert on His 40 day fast. Each of 3 times, He beat temptation by speaking God’s word out loud. Say it out loud:
Every time I want to beat temptation, I will speak God’s word out loud. Not only will I beat temptation but He delivers me from the hand of the enemy.
Most won’t know the answer to the question ‘When did slavery end?’ but you’ll be able to speak for yourself because it starts when you put an end to it with Jesus.
When you are not controlled anymore and are truly free by accepting Jesus, the enemy (Satan) will try and trick you making you think that you also have to accept everyone with their sins. While it’s true we should love every person including our enemies who persecute us, we can love the sinner while hating the sin enough to share the truth with them so they can come to know God, find freedom, discover purpose and make a difference. This ideology of accept everything and everyone is a woke view and Jesus Aint Woke.
